Generator DPFs
Standby or backup diesel generators are often installed in areas where air quality is already a problem (e.g. cities) or in close proximity to buildings like offices or hospitals. The resulting emissions of particulate matter are a health hazard and may cause unforeseen problems such as triggering smoke detectors.
Installing a diesel generator in an urban area may require planning approval, which could be witheld unless the black smoke is mitigated.
Blackthorn can design and supply diesel particulate filter systems (DPFs) for diesel generators of all sizes.
